Mid-South Synergy has one position open in our Accounting Department at our Navasota branch. Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field. Candidate must have at least 3 years experience in Accounting and/or General Bookkeeping and a solid overall knowledge of Accounting. Must possess excellent computer skills, experience in AR/AP, general ledger, and payroll. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Experience with accounting software necessary. Staking Technician is responsible for surveying, staking & designing electrical distribution lines. Position meets and assists consumers; stakes electric lines/services, performs cost estimates and prepares job orders using a design software program. High school diploma and three years of experience in surveying or closely related work; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which would provide the following knowledge, skills and abilities: Knowledge of basic surveying principles, practices and methods. Knowledge of drafting. Knowledge of geometry, trigonometry, algebra and other basic mathematical calculations used in surveying, engineering and drafting. Knowledge of maps, deeds, plats, and plans. Must have very good PC skills. Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word is required. .Experience in Auto-CAD is preferred but not required. Must have solid customer service and communication skills. Construction knowledge/experience, electric utility operations experience and/or familiarity with RUS construction standards desired but not mandatory. GIS experience is a plus.

The GIS technician is an entry-level position. The successful applicant will report to the GIS Manager and be located in the Navasota Office. Primary duties will include: data management and creation, field work (primarily GPS data collection), provide supportive mapping data and analysis upon request, and other projects related to comprehensive enterprise GIS system. Minimum of one year experience in a GIS-related position. Knowledge and ability to utilize ESRI’s ArcGIS desktop products. Familiarity with GPS technology, data collection, and integration with GIS software.
