Treats on the Streets, Navasota

It was another successful year for Treats on the Streets as hundreds of kids
and parents gathered around booths like Mid-South's Haunted Woods along the
streets of Navasota.
Courthouse Christmas, Anderson

With cooperation from the City of Navasota and Grimes County, Mid-South
helped decorate the community Christmas tree at the County Courthouse in
Anderson.
Hanging of the Green, Madisonville

First Baptist Church of Madisonville allowed Mid-South to hang holiday
greenery on a humid December morning.
Lighted Christmas Parade, Navasota

With a bit of creativity from Mid-South's Tina Warzon and the many smiling
faces of some Mid-South youth, Mid-South's parade float took second place at
the Navasota Lighted Christmas Parade. Thousands joined their neighbors
along the streets of Navasota to watch the parade, see Santa Claus and catch
candy thrown by parade volunteers.
Annual Food For Families Food Drive

Mid-South hosted two satellite drop-off sites at Madisonville and Navasota
for the annual Food For Families Food Drive, sponsored by KBTX-TV 3. Each
year, the food drive supports the Brazos Valley Food Bank in Bryan and its
partner agency pantries all throughout the Brazos Valley. This was a banner
year for the satellite drop-off sites, as over 18,000 pounds of food and
$8,000 was collected just from those sites. Altogether, 177,000 pounds of
food and $59,000 was collected during the day-long drive.
