Process Overview for Electric Service Development

• Customer contacts Mid-South Synergy (MSS); application/membership is accepted.


• Customer Service Representative (CSR) forwards job to Developer Coordinator.


• After Developer Coordinator and Customer meet and establish mutual agreement in regards to development plan, a non-refundable $1000 fee is due prior to designing.


• MSS Engineering/Ops reviews design/layout and assigns cost estimate using preliminary design drawings(if requested). (Estimate is for budget/lending purposes and not for payment purposes.)


• Developer Coordinator and Customer review preliminary plat. Customer can submit changes at this time.


• MSS Engineering/Ops and Developer Coordinator review Customer changes and generate final plat. The county approved plat from Customer is required at this time.


• MSS Engineering/Ops stakes development and generates cost estimate (for payment purposes). Developer Coordinator assigns price/contribution requirements.


• Once payment is received from customer, and other applicable customer responsibilities are met, job is released.


• MSS or approved MSS Contractor proceeds with construction of development.
