Mid-South Synergy Scholarship Program

The Mid-South Synergy scholarship program was established in 1998 to encourage and assist in the educational pursuit of Mid-South member’s seniors. Texas State Law HB 3202, passed in September 1997, permits nonprofit electric cooperatives to retain unclaimed capitol credit allocations for scholarships. The number of scholarships will vary annually, based on the unclaimed capital credit allocations for that year. Previously, these funds were collected by the State of Texas comptroller’s office for the state’s general fund.
